Who we are
Qutzl LLC is a technology consulting and IT support company based in Karthaus, Pennsylvania. We look after the computers, servers, networks, and cloud services that small and medium businesses depend on, so their teams can get on with the work they are actually in business to do.
Qutzl was founded by Michael Narehood, who has spent more than a decade in the technology industry. He started on the Penn State help desk and has since supported organizations in finance, oil and gas, retail, hospitality, and more. The job stays the same from one client to the next: keep systems reliable, keep people productive, and don’t overcomplicate what doesn’t need to be complicated.
Where the name comes from
Qutzl is short for Quetzalcoatlus, a giant pterosaur that flew over North America at the very end of the Cretaceous, about 68 to 66 million years ago. With a wingspan estimated at 10 to 11 meters (roughly 33 to 36 feet), it is one of the largest animals known to have flown. Paleontologist Douglas Lawson named it in 1975 after Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent of Aztec mythology.
It’s the bird you’ll see gliding across our pages and snapping up bugs, which is a fair description of the job.
